POZZI ELECTA: yarn production for Orange Fiber
Orange Fiber has entrusted us with the production of its precious yarn made with the innovative fiber TENCEL™ Limited edition x Orange Fiber.
This is the first Lyocell fiber branded Tencel™ – made of cellulose of oranges deriving from citrus fruit waste and wood cellulose – developed in partnership with Lenzing Group, world leader in production of textile fibers deriving from cellulose.
Orange Fiber yarn is a high quality product, that can be used by itself or with other materials – such as silk or cotton – to create fabrics with different features and weights.
From carding to spooling, the entire productive process to make Orange Fiber yarn is entirely made in Italy in the Pozzi Electa factory in Val Seriana.
The partnership of Orange Fiber, Lenzing Group and Pozzi Electa creates an entirely european supply chain, tracked and una filiera produttiva interamente europea, tracked and transparent, that combines innovation, sustainability and Made in Italy manufacturing tradition.
The guiding principles of this innovative project is the contribution to waste reduction and the enhancement of sustainable and zero impact raw materials, towards a more ecological and conscious textile.
The commitment of Pozzi Electa in sustainability and the respect of social and environmental issues is today officially recognized by prestigious institutions through GRS, BCI and GOTS certifications.
Starting from TENCEL™ Limited edition x Orange Fiber, two pure yarns are currently produced in counts NE 40/1 and NE 40/2. Additional counts can be developped in co-operation with customers.
The fabrics produced with yarn Lyorange can be used to create clothing and textile accessories and can be printed or dyed as traditional fabrics.
Versatile, innovative and no-season, they represent the perfect component for brands and designers of fashion industry that care for sustainability and intend to create products to last over time.
