Cupro Yarn Production

The production of Pozzi Electa staple cupro yarns begins with the selection of the raw material. Cupro is a fiber produced from the cellulose of the fine down that covers the seeds of cotton, and therefore falls within the recycled fibers. The cupro fiber used in our production sites in Val Seriana comes from the manufacturer Asahi Kasei. We transform it into yarns that have many features in common with cotton, starting with softness. Cupro staple yarns are moisture resistant and have a natural sheen similar to that of silk. In addition, they offer excellent breathability, are easy to dye and have a distinctive chromatic brilliance. Pozzi Electa's production of cupro staple yarns is designed for the textile industry, in particular underwear, linings, outdoor, interior design and bedding. Consistently with customers’ requests, we make cupro yarns both with pure fiber and blended with other natural fibers, such as cotton, wool, linen, silk, etc. In this way, we are able to guarantee the best result in terms of fineness, length, dyeing, shine and performance.
