Crabyon Viscose Yarn Production
The production of Pozzi Electa viscose crabyon yarns begins with the research of raw material. Crabyon is a viscose, which derives from cellulose and contains chitin-chitosan. This substance is obtained from recycling of the shellfish carapace.
The production process is patented by a Japanese group and our company is the only spinner in Europe. The exclusive transformation of crabyon into yarn allows the properties of the chitin-chitosan to remain unaltered, which make the fiber intrinsically antibacterial. Not being a surface treatment, the characteristics of Crabyon remain even after long term use of the garments and numerous washes. First of all, viscose crabyon yarn is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. In fact, it helps to soothe irritation resulting from excessive exposure to sunlight or skin problems, such as dermatitis.
The production of Pozzi Electa viscose crabyon yarns is designed for textile industry, in particular underwear, technical, sports, bedding, and medical clothing. It is thought for burns and diabetic patients (socks) and for allergy sufferers (gloves). According to the needs, we make viscose crabyon yarns both with pure fiber and in blends with other fibers. In this way, we can guarantee the best result in terms of performance of the fabric that will be produced.
